The hardware devices on a Windows PC require the occasional software update, just like the operating system that undergoes periodic updates from the developer. MP3 players, webcams and wireless adapters commonly connect to computers via Universal Service Bus (USB) ports on the side and back of the frame. For many devices, you need to install what are called “device drivers,” to get Windows to detect your hardware in the operating system. If these software-based drivers are outdated, then you might notice windows slow startup. Use Windows Update to find updated driver files.
