I recently retired from my job as a university librarian at a fairly large Californian university, and was looking for a nice place to retire that had fewer people than Los Angeles but still had nice weather. I didn’t want to live in some crowded, disgusting city any more, but I had to admit that I found the warm seasons of Southern California very agreeable. I looked around a few places in the States, but none of them really struck my fancy, or the ones that did were too expensive. Then, fortunately for me, a friend of mine mentioned that Thailand property was cheap but also really beautiful.

I did a bit of research on the Internet and I found that he was absolutely correct. There were quite a few places offering thailand real estate, and all of them were well within my budget, because the exchange rate is so in our favour here in the US. I talked over the phone to a Realtor who said he had some really nice Thailand villas that sounded like they’d be just right for me, but he encouraged me to first take a flight over to Thailand and spend a week or two on vacation there, to make sure I liked the area. That wasn’t a problem, because I loved every minute of it.

So I went to his office in Bangkok and told him I’d made up my mind and decided that Thailand property was definitely the way for me to go. He showed me some stunningly beautiful Thailand villas and told me I could move in whenever I wanted. Well, I shouldn’t have to tell you that I wasted no time. I called my relatives back in the states and, once they’d gotten sick of hearing about how much I loved it, asked them to ship me my things, because I was in love with my Thailand real estate.
