Pursuing an Undergraduate Accounting Degree
Reference and Education October 11th. 2011, 3:13amOne of the most important things to figure out once you start taking college courses is what major you want to pursue. It doesn’t have to be an immediate decision, but it is one that you should have a general idea about during your freshman year of college and you need to be ready to make a final decision before the end of your sophomore year. Social science degrees are popular with many such as psychology, sociology, political science, and economics. Economics is a great major for those interested in pursuing a career in business. If you have an interest in business but are great with numbers, a major in accounting might be a path to consider. An accounting degree is a great option for those who think they can manage working with numbers, balancing budgets, and working with spreadsheets on a daily basis. Students majoring in accounting and economics tend to get some of the higher paying jobs upon graduation.
