I wonder if my uncle would have become exmormon if he hadn’t died at a young age. I was shocked to hear a story about him when he contracted tuberculosis. He was in the hospital for a while and they called my grandma to say she needed to pick him up because some of the patients had been partying wildly. She said, “My son would never do that!” They replied, “Ma’am, he supplied the marijuana.” I can’t believe he did that! First of all, pretty rebellious. Second, not the healthiest thing for someone with TB to be smoking anything. Considering almost all of his siblings became exmormon and his history, I doubt he would have stayed in the church.
