I have never been much for keeping records or any kind of book keeping.  When I heard that as part of my executor duties I had to keep records for the court of all the income that had come in from the estate and all of the bills that I had settled I wanted to quit.  My filing system is usually to throw everything in a box and then dig through ti when a receipt is needed.   I did not know how I was going to survive if I had to produce meticulous records for a judge to review before the process could be ended.
