When most people are asked where they’d like to vacation, a tropical island is usually in the top three on anyone’s list.  The draw of island is obvious; warm weather, plenty of sun and not a lot of rain.  Even when it does rain in the tropics, it’s usually a warm rain lasting only a few minutes to maybe an hour.  Located between thirty degrees North and thirty degrees south, the part of Earth known as the tropics has the most even temperature gradient of any place on earth. This is helped in part by the even amount of sunlight from summer to winter, varying by only a few hours, unlike areas further North or South.  There is one main danger for this stretch of planet Earth, and it’s the dreaded hurricane or typhoon.  Everything it’s a trade off and the best tropical islands in the world are no exception.
